Insert your right needle through the first two stitches on the left needle from front to back as if to knit.

Wrap working yarn around left needle and pull it through the 2 stitches reducing them to one. Slip the new stitch to the right needle.

After the row with the decrease I worked 2 more rows. You can tell where the increase is because you can see a slight slant.
